Insert a raisin into a Betallex heart. I just used a small
piece of paper crumpled into a ball. You could also use the knot of a
balloon. Pinch one of the lobes of the heart so that no air can enter and
inflate the heart so it is oval-shaped. |
This is your witch's head. The knot will be the top of the
head, so that the nose points down. Inflate a black 160 leaving about 4
inches of tail. |
Grab the raising you inserted through the inflated lobe of
the heart and twist it a couple times. Tie the 160 around the raisin to hold
it in place. |
Make two ear twists to stabilize the head. For the arms,
make a 3-inch bubble, a split twist for a hand, a 1-inch bubble, another
split twist for another hand, and a 3-inch bubble. Lock twist these all
together. Make sure the split twists are twisted many times so they will
stay when the center bubble is popped. |
Pop the center bubble between the two split twists. For the
body, make a 3-bubble roll through. Make two 3-inch bubbles and lock twist
them together. Make a third 3-inch bubble and roll that through the first
two. |
For legs, make a 3-inch bubble, a 1/2-inch bubble, two
4-inch fold twists, a 1/2-inch bubble, and another 3-inch bubble. Lock twist
these together. I also added two ear twists to stabilize the whole thing.
You can break off any remaining balloon now. |
Tuck the 1/2-inch bubbles into the loop twists to create
the feet. |
Inflate another black 160. It doesn't matter how much; you
won't need a lot of it. Tie it to the nozzle of the heart. You can cut off
the rest of the heart's nozzle now. Make a 2 to 3-inch bubble, break off the
remaining balloon, and tie. |
With the rest of the balloon, make a 4-inch bubble and tie
the ends together, forming a loop. Roll this loop over the bubble on the
witch's head to complete the hat. You can draw a face on if you want. |
