Miscellaneous Ramblingsby Larry Moss, Sheena Beaverson
Summer Project: Photo CollectionsThe photo work we reported on last month has continued at a good pace. Hundreds of previsouly uncategorized photos have been sorted and organized, including those from some previous conventions. This means that advanced photo searches are more likely to turn up the results you want. Guide UpdatesThe Guide to Balloons and Ballooning is a huge work, and by it's very nature, it can never be finished. From time to time, we receive information from people and companies letting us know about information contained in the Guide that has become out of date. If you know of information found in the Guide that you provided, please let check it and make sure the information we have is still correct. For example, Pioneer Balloon recently sent us updated information about the Qualatex Balloon Network and the Certified Balloon Artist programs. You can find the current information in the Guide under Balloon Certifications, Organizations, and Conventions. Is Creativity Lost? This month's hot topic has definitely been on creativity in the balloon industry. Thanks to Jim Skistimas for starting an interesting discussion. Most interesting was seeing how various people define creativity and to which aspects of their businesses they apply that creativity. If you missed it, Read the thread on creativity.
This month's featured artist portfolioThe last month has seen quite a bit of discussion about balloon decorating versus balloon entertaining, and being creative or selling the same old stuff. Rather than continue the debate, we decided to just show off a portfolio from a single business that twists and stacks balloons to satisfy their clients. Stacey & Daniel Krulewich from Belton, MO are creative with round and non-round balloons. Visit the Portfolio of Stacey and Daniel Krulewich | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
