| Lots of people look up to Suzanne |
It is often hard to see progress or growth when you're stuck in the middle of the day-to-day happenings of your business or projects. Take a few steps out of the foray and try to look at your business from the outside. Over the past year, have you taken on more clients? Have you expanded your design offerings? Have you learned new twisting techniques? Have you found new advertising avenues? Maybe you've started a brand new business or adventure. If you have trouble pulling yourself far enough away from it all, get a friend or an outside observer to help look at things objectively.
Just looking through the BHQ Calendar listings you can find a multitude of events, big and small. Business development seminars, educational design classes, monthly gigs all over the planet, Master Classes and Tours. In any one month you can easily find a number of events going on.
Taking a look at the big events - the conventions - you can see there is stuff going on year-round. We hear a lot of buzz on the mailing lists about going to conventions - the educational opportunities, the business and personal contacts that can be made. Click over to the forums to see what people are saying. BHQ doesn't directly run any of these conventions, but we try to support where we can. The major events from this year (we apologize if we left any out) included:
