Balloon artists all around the world take part each year in an event
designed to highlight the act of giving, to deliver thousands of smiles,
and to showcase the art of ballooning. Jeff Brown, the balloon artist from
Juneau, Alaska that started the event in 2000, focused on balloon twisting.
He asked twisters from around the world to donate an hour of their time to
hand out balloons and make people smile.
Both twisters and decorators responded by doing far more than he imagined.
We saw people doing things like handing out balloon figures, teaching
classes in schools, and decorating libraries.
If you can, give a day to your community in some way by being part of the
event on October 2, 2002. Photos from last year and all of the information

The cost of BHQ membership will be increasing in June. This will allow us
