Santa Hat and Snowman Ring
Patricia Bunnell
This holiday season I’m giving you two ideas. A Santa Claus Hat, Twisted Critter Style. That was inspired by Robert Dunn! Thanks Bro! And a teeny tiny Snow Man Ring. Wishing you all a safe and peace filled Holiday.
Step 1
Inflate a red 260 all the way. Wrap around persons head but make it larger than their head. I will explain later. |
Step 2
Make into a Basic Hat. |
Step 3
Twist two 2″ bubbles to the side of the front of the hat base. |
Step 4
Inflate a white 260 about 2/3 of the way full. Pinch off a small bubble and twist in at the side of the hat base. |
Step 5
Make a white bubble the same size as the red bubble. The center bubble of the hat base will become Santa’s nose. Wrap the white 260 around the nose. Make another white bubble the same size as the red bubble and twist in on the other side of the hat base. |
Step 6
Make Santa’s beard by making a 9 to 10 inch bubble. Wrap around the pinch twist. |
Step 7
Make the top of Santa’s hat by making a white 9 to 10 inch bubble and twist in at the other pinch twist. Get rid of the rest of the balloon. Use what is left to make the white pom pom for his hat. |
Step 8
Inflate another red 260 about 16 to 18 inches. Twist in at a pinch twist. |
Step 9
Make an arch for Santa’s hat and twist in at the other pinch twist. Shape the balloon to make it look real. |
Step 10
To make Santa’s eyes inflate a white 5″ round about the size of a golf ball. Twist in half. |
Step 11
Wrap the twisted 5″ round in at Santa’s nose. Add the Pom Pom on his hat. |
Step 12
Finish with two black dots for his eyes. |
Snowman Ring
Step 1
Cut a 3″ tip off a white 160. Inflate the tip to about the size of a grape. |
Step 2
Using a white 260 inflate about a 1″ bubble. |
Step 3
Marriage twist the 160 to the 260 about a half inch from the bubble. |
Step 4
Push the knots down through the center of the 260 making at apple twist. |
Step 5
Grab the knots and hold on tight. |
Step 6
Loosely wrap the un-inflated end around 3 fingers to make a loop for the ring. |
Step 7
Use a pipe cleaner and make stick arms |
Or if you are a latex purist make a scarf out of a 260. Add artwork. |
