From: "Dave Weiss & Mike Cavataio" <[email protected]> To: [email protected], [email protected] Subject: Mr. Rogers Update Date: Fri, 21 Jan 2000 13:11:00 EST Hi Everyone, Regarding the mystery balloon twister that appeared on the Mr. Rogers Neighborhood show, I have the answer. For those not familiar w/ Mr. Rogers, his is a childrens educational show that has been around for years and years and is filmed (at least in studio) at WQED in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I spoke to Hedda at WQED. The twisters name is BRUCE FRANCO. He was a twisted from the mid-west. Unfortunately he died several years ago. He did appear on several episodes: #1597 (will air in 2001), #1615 (just aired), and #1660 (aired in Oct. of '99). All of these will re-air, and if you call your local public station and give them the program #'s, they can tell you when it will air again. The shows are also available from WQED for $20 each. Also, episode #1518 will air on August 9, 2000. This is an older show filmed at VanPenn in Vandergrift, PA. They will show how balloons are made. Hope this helps, & I hope to meet many of you at Twist & Shout...can't wait!!!
