Three Balloon Hat
This hat is based off a number of different balloon hats that use a triangular base.
Balloons Needed:
3 260s
1 plain 5-inch round
1 imprinted 5-inch round
Inflate all three 260s leaving a 1-inch tail on each one. On the first balloon (red), make a 1-inch bubble followed by an 8 to 10-inch bubble. Please note that this bubble’s size will vary depending on the size of the person’s head, but hats with a triangle base give you are larger margin for error than the standard one-balloon helmet.
Take the second balloon (yellow) and make a 1-inch bubble. Attach this to the first (red) balloon as shown. Make an 8 to 10-inch bubble.
Take the third balloon (blue) and make a 1-inch bubble. Attach this to the second (yellow) balloon as shown. Make an 8 to 10-inch bubble.
Lock twist the 1-inch bubble on the first (red) balloon to the 8 to 10-inch bubble on the third (blue) balloon.
Make a single 10-inch bubble on each of the three balloons. Lock twist all three balloons together.
Inflate the plain 5-inch round and attach it to the intersection of the three 260s.
Wrap all three 260s around the 5-inch round and lock twist them at the top of the 5-inch round.
Make a fold twist on each of the three 260s.
Inflate the imprinted 5-inch round and attach it to the intersection of the three 260s. |
See you at Twist & Shout 2004!
