Title: Heaven's Harp
Creator: Dennis Scott

Description: This was my large sculpture competition entry during the Twist & Shout balloon convention that was held in St. Louis Missouri Feb 2013. This piece finished 2nd place in the large balloon sculpture category. The entire sculpture was built over the course of 40 hours and used more than 2000 balloons. The harp was constructed by stuffing gold 260Q balloons with black 260Q. The harp stood more than 6' tall and even the strings were uninflated black 160Q balloons. The base also was double stuffed using white 350Q's inside of clear 350Q's. The face of the angel was created with a distortion technique inspired by Niko Fric's nikoloon system. Angel wing technique was inspired by Masayoshi Matsumoto.
